Gordon Perks of Perkasie, PA passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 23, 2023. He was 77.
Born in England to the late Robert and Edith (Latham) Perks, Gordon immigrated to the United States in 1969 and settled in Philadelphia, PA. His last residence was at the Regency at Hilltown 55+ community, with his wife, Marcy L. Perks.
Gordon was formerly employed as an electrician working at the Sears Warehouse and Distribution Center, on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia for 23 years, and then at Hahnemann University Hospital, located in center city, Philadelphia, PA, until retirement.
He enjoyed bicycling, cruising with Marcy where they traveled throughout the world, his cherished cat, Symba, driving his Mustang, and watching the Philadelphia sports team games.
He was the beloved husband of Marcy Perks; devoted father of Ashley Thomas and husband Shane; dear brother of Brenda Green and husband John, Kathleen Powell and late husband Roger, Elaine Broxton and husband David, Sheila Owen and husband Brian, and the late Graham Perks who is survived by his wife Marie. He was also the loving grandfather of Chelsea and Liam Thomas.
Cremation services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
