Marie A. Pfeiffer of Pipersville, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Pine Run Health Center, Doylestown, PA. She was 90.

Born in Doylestown Hospital, she was the daughter of the late J. Harper and Marie (Wolf) Atkinson.

Marie retired from Bell of PA/AT & T with almost thirty years of service as a telephone operator and supervisor. After retiring, Marie enjoyed working on puzzles, reading, crocheting baby blankets and knitting. She donated hundreds of knitted hats for babies in many local hospitals.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the nurses, aides and hospice staff for the special care they provided.

She was the beloved wife of the late William C. Pfeiffer, who passed in 1993; devoted mother of William B. Pfeiffer of Pipersville, Karen M. Carter (Mark) of Ottsville, and Kim L. Weaver (David) of Sellersville; loving grandmother of Kristin Carter (Brian Staley), Corey Weaver (Leslie), Ryan Carter (Katie Andrake), Matthew Pfeiffer (Jenni Betz), and Cara Sellers (Robert); cherished great-grandmother of Kai Sellers; dear sister of Eva Louise McCusker and her late siblings Robert Atkinson, Betty Myers and Jane Atkinson.

A service will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Wednesday, May 24th at 11:00 am. The family will receive their friends from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
